Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate a discount?
Use the first row: 25% of 80 gives 20, so a 25% discount on an $80 item saves $20 and the final price is $60.
What is the difference between percentage change and percentage points?
Going from 10% to 15% is a change of 5 percentage points but a 50% relative increase. This calculator returns the relative percentage change.
Why is my percent change negative?
A negative result means a decrease: going from 200 to 150 is a −25% change.
